Dear Friends,

As China has rises and the learning Chinese Language become important, learning Chinese Language as a foreign language has become popular in the recent years. I have been providing private Chinese tutoring for primary school students, and had taught Chinese Language in Elementary School for 5 years. Learning Chinese language somehow is bored, dull and difficult because of the strokes and the non-phonetic system, How to make them interested in learning Chinese language? As children, they learn best through hands-on activities like card game, board games, so I decided to design a set of Card Game for them to learn and memorize Chinese Idioms and Chinese Pinyin in a fun way.

For people whose native language is English, Chinese is rated as one of the most difficult languages to learn, together with Arabic, Japanese and Korean, and the lack of language environment makes it even harder to become proficient in the language.

As lack of language environment, you need even more self discipline and best teaching material to help you as a learner, to help your children or your students to learn the language. Therefore this teaching material allowed you, or your child, or your students to make some noise out of it.

Most of the problem faced when learning Chinese Language.

1) There are huge numbers of characters one has to learn.

2) The Chinese Character writing system has systematic strokes and ways.

3) The Chinese Characters are not phonetic.

4) The language has 4 tones, same tone same character may have different meaning.

So, as mention earlier, children or learners learn best through play or hands- on- activities.

Play for young children is not recreation activity…..It is not leisure-time activity nor escape activity…Play is thinking time for young children. It is language time. Problem solving time. It is memory time, planning time, investigating time. It is organization-of-ideas time, when the young child uses his mind and body and his social skills and all his powers in response to the stimuli he has met.

James L.Hymes, Jr, child development, specialist, author.

Playing is a very natural way for learn because it uses all of their senses. Playtime is also a cognitive learning where one practice taking in information and organizing it to solve problems and understand their environment. Also at the same time, develop their co-operation skills and a greater understanding of sharing.
